The Pioneers
In 2005, Sem and Georg decided to cultivate wine on the southern slope of the Ulrichsberg, on land belonging to Georg's ancestors. At that time, winemaking in Carinthia was a passion for a few "eccentrics," but it has since grown into a winery with approximately 9.5 hectares of vineyards.
Goran & Zoran
The Vine Whisperers
Goran Despic was the first employee at the winery and has been a vital part of the winemaking and free-range pig farming operations ever since. Goran receives support from Zoran. As passionate hunters, they miss nothing that happens in the vineyard.
Claudia Lisa & Matthias
The hosts
Claudia, together with Matthias and Lisa, manages everything around the guest; they are there for you both in the town wine tavern and in the restaurant and make your time on the Leiten a real experience.
Leo
The kitchen crew
Leo was involved from the very beginning, helping to launch the restaurant, and earned his first toque in the first year. It wasn't long before he received his second. He runs the kitchen and consistently conjures up the most wonderful and refined dishes.
Eos & Romeo
The Guardians
Eos was already at home in the vineyard as a puppy, and Romeo came to us as a one-year-old, and since then both have probably become real wine guardians, at least until the grapes ripen, then they prefer to "pick" them.
