The Leiten is more than a winery. More than a restaurant and more than a wine tavern. It's a piece of landscape – shaped by sun and rain, by winter and summer, by spring and autumn. By snow and wind, by everything that lives in the earth and moves in the air. And it's shaped by the people and animals who live here in harmony with nature.
Duroc and Mangalitza: Pigs kept outdoors
When it comes to animal welfare, our values are uncompromising. Our pigs live year-round in spacious, open areas next to the vineyards. Here they can move around, root, and grow – just as their nature intended. That's why they grow three times as long as conventionally raised pigs. The enclosures house Mangalitza pigs, known for their aromatic lardo, and Duroc pigs, famous for their perfectly marbled meat.

Vegetables, herbs, and much more grow directly on the slope. And what doesn't thrive here comes from people who share our values. Also from the countryside, of course.
